1872 - The New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad is formed. (NYNH&H, New Haven, NH)
1883 - The Balfour Railroad is formed. (BRR) 1886 - The Colucci Creek Southern Railway is formed. (CCSRY) 1904 - DomCol Railways is formed. (DCRY) 1907 - J.C.Rail is formed. (JCR) June 1st, 1932 - The Balfour Railroad merges with the Colucci Creek Southern Railways to try to produce more revenue due to the Great Depression. The Balfour and Colucci Creek Southern Railroad is formed. November 16th, 1950 - The Balfour and Colucci Creek Southern Railroad (BCCS) receives its first diesel locomotives, 2 ALCO RS-2s, numbered 301 and 302. 1954 - The BCCS acquires a controlling interest in the NYNH&H, but keeps the railroads as separate entities. July 20th, 1960 - The BCCS officially retires it's last active steam locomotive, an ALCO built 4-8-4 Northern type #2749, from it's roster. March 17th, 1961 - The NYNH&H officially retires it's last active steam locomotive, a BLW built 2-10-2 Santa Fe type #3415, from it's roster. 1969 - DCRY merges with JCR, keeping the name "DomCol Railways". 1975 - The BCCS acquires a controlling interest in DCRY, but keeps the railroads as separate entities. August 31st, 1975 - The BCCS runs its final long distance passenger train and hands over all long distance passenger operations to Amtrak the following day. 1977 - The BCCS starts the process of restoring BCCS Class I-6 Hudson steam locomotive #1600 for service on excursion trips. July 1st, 1980 - The BCCS officially merges the NYNH&H into itself. Spring 1983 - The restoration of BCCS #1600 is completed. April 7th, 1983 - The BCCS turns 100 years old (not including the NH), and BCCS #1600 pulls its first excursion trip, opening the centennial celebrations and the 1983 excursion season. Fall 1983 - #1600 is introduced into occasional revenue service as the excursion season comes to an end and pulls it's first revenue freight train on November 14th. Spring 1984 - Following a very successful first year of running BCCS #1600, restoration begins on DomCol Hudson #1212, an ex-NYC Class J3-a, for excursion and occasional revenue service, just like #1600. Fall 1989 - Ex-DomCol #1212's restoration is completed. Spring 1990 - DomCol #1212 begins running in a similar manner as BCCS #1600. 1993 - The BCCS officially merges DCRY into itself.
